JAKARTA – Menteri Luar Negeri Israel, Israel Katz mengaku telah memerintahkan penarikan segera duta besarnya dari Irlandia dan Norwegia terkait keputusan kedua negara tersebut untuk mengakui Palestina sebagai negara.
Sebelumnya pada hari yang sama, pemerintah Norwegia mengumumkan pengakuan resmi negara Palestina.
Surat kabar harian Irish Independent juga melansir bahwa Irlandia diperkirakan akan mengakui negara Palestina secara resmi pada Rabu pagi.
“Saya telah menginstruksikan penarikan segera duta besar Israel di Irlandia dan Norwegia untuk berkonsultasi sehubungan dengan keputusan negara-negara itu untuk mengakui negara Palestina,” kata Katz, pada Rabu (22/05).
Katz juga mengirimkan pesan yang jelas dan tegas kepada Irlandia dan Norwegia. “Israel tidak akan tinggal diam dalam menghadapi pihak-pihak yang merusak kedaulatan dan mengancam keamanan mereka,” tulis Katz di medsos X.
